3 Simple Ideas for Marketing in Times of Uncertainty

If you want to survive and thrive in challenging times, the following are three things that will help you retain (priority) and gain customers. I’m happy to show you how easy this is.

1) Use more print and mail. Digital overload is real. If you want to stand out, the tangible touch of print has never been more effective. Send a letter or a postcard. Drop off a newsletter, calendar, etc.

2) Replace a lot of your emails with phone calls. Particularly customer communications. People are tuning out toneless email communications. The power of voice conversations to build relationships cannot be understated. Pick up the phone!

3) Customer education and in-house events. Years ago, we were producing over 100 of these per year for printers. They were a huge success, allowing printers to provide added value and gain coveted in-person time with customers and prospects.

You see very little of the above today. Companies have become complacent as sales have held steady. That might not be the case going forward. Think different, be different. Stand out. What was old is new again, and it’s more effective than it was in the past.
